We looked for living area recliners for almost a year before finding this chair. It is an exceptional value that is stylish enough to fit into our great room.

Because of severe arthritis and back problems, we needed a chair that would allow comfortable reclining and higher elevation of feet and legs than we found in typical recliners. The extra-wide chair also allows for roomy seating with space for an extra pillow or a comforter. It is little more difficult to get out of the chair (due to personal mobility issues) but well worth the effort as it provides deep relaxation and the ability to relieve swelling in the legs and feet by proper elevation. Unfortunately, one can't raise the back independently to read comfortably while keeping the legs elevated, but it's still a great buy and constantly used.

One of our friends, who is almost bed-ridden, purchased one after using ours. He does need help making adjustments and getting in and out of the chair, and added a 3" waffle-type memory foam pad (in addition to the chair padding). However, he now spends most of his time resting and sleeping in the chair and swears it's more comfortable than his hospital-type bed. His caregiver is also pleased because it's easier and more comfortable for him to transition to an upright position for periods throughout the day.

It took less than five minutes from box to relaxing! Toffee color is true to picture and blends well in a room of upholstered furniture. Frame has a nice finish and, despite dogs and kids, does not seem to scratch(!). Fabric is durable and easy to clean. We have had to tighten a couple of bolts after approx 4 months of almost 24/7 use.

Shortly after we got the first one, we ordered another! Friends have also ordered the same style for their decks and dens. Ours have yet to make it outside and is the 'first choice' seating for TV, napping, etc. Can't imagine being without them!
