It will be hard to come across a bistro set that combines comfort, style, and durability better than the Jensen Jarrah Maitre D Bistro Set. Boasting clean lines and understated elegance, this bistro set is constructed of Jarrah wood, one of the hardest and most durable timbers commonly found in Western Australia.
Naturally resistant to insects and decay, Jarrah is a remarkable hardwood ideally suited for outdoor furniture. The wood from Jarrah trees is fine-grained and ranges in color from a rich reddish brown to a soft salmon pink, adding warmth and a cozy feel to any outdoor seating area. If you leave your Jarrah bistro set outdoors without maintenance, you'll find that the exposed surface of the wood naturally weathers to a silver grey color. However, the original red color always remains in the body of the wood and can be restored with a special oil finish.
This bistro set includes a square slat-top bistro table and two chairs that fold for easy storage. The generously-proportioned chair seats offer great comfort, while the slightly-angled backrests provide superior upper body support to ensure you dine without a care in the world. Zinc-plated steel hardware further reinforces the durability of furniture already designed to stand the test of time. A great way to enjoy al fresco dining, the Jensen Jarrah Maitre D Bistro Set will be the final ingredient to many an idyllic evening.

About Jarrah wood
Jarrah is the common name for Eucalyptus Marginata, a relatively large tree which attains a height of up to 130 feet, with a straight trunk up to 50 feet or more and a diameter up to 6.5 feet. Commonly found in Western Australia, the color of Jarrah wood ranges from a rich reddish brown to a soft salmon pink. It turns a silver gray shade when seasoned by the weather and exposure to sunlight, but it occurs only at the surface. The rich original color is always there, just beneath the surface. The original reddish tone can be preserved by applying a special oil finish, which contains a light transparent pigment that screens UV light and enhances the tone and hue of Jarrah without hiding the grain.
Environment-friendly choice: Jarrah timber is a sustainable natural resource. The harvest is strictly controlled by the government of Western Australia. No logging occurs in old-growth forests.
Legendary durability: The Busselton Jetty is the ultimate testimonial to the strength and durability of Jarrah timber. Constructed at the turn of the century from locally grown Jarrah timber, the jetty, which stretches over a mile into the Indian Ocean, has withstood the test of time. The same managed timber resource, located in the temperate regions of south Western Australia, is used today to craft the exclusive Jensen Jarrah furniture.
