Crafted from responsibly harvested FSC certified wood, this handsome chair sports a deep dark Java Brown stain that will add charm and character to your outdoor setting. While the chair features a generous seat and slatted back for maximum support, the water- and fade-resistant cushion takes your comfort to a whole new level. Some assembly required.
FSC Wood - Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests are managed to ensure long-term timber supplies while protecting the environment and lives of forest-dependent peoples.
Outdoor fabric is water- and fade-resistant. While the fabric is highly water repellent, if left out in the rain or under sprinklers it will absorb moisture where there is stitching. We recommend storing or covering when not being used. If the cushions do get wet, stand them on their side and allow the water to drain out of the stitched seam. To clean, use mild dish soap and water, do not use harsh chemicals.
Java Stain finish will weather over time and wood will take on a silvery gray patina (common to all outdoor wood). This is not considered a defect. The wood can be oiled twice a year to maintain finish -- available at local hardware stores.

Wipe clean with soft cloth and water solution made from mild dish soap. Natural and spice stains on wood will need to be oiled twice a year, otherwise it will weather to a silvery gray over a period of time. Painted black finish will weather the elements and is designed for outdoor use; freezing and thawing may cause the paint to crack. We recommend storing the furniture in a shed or garage in harsher climates.

These chairs are rock solid. I was very skeptical about ordering furniture online, and was very pleased with the quality. The natural finish is a bit darker than in the pictures -- check out the Cabos Collection Coffee Table in natural finish to get a better idea of the color -- and the cushions are indeed ivory -- so they're more yellow than in the pictures. But they still look great. I've included pictures of mine with this review so you can get a better idea of the color.Now about assembly. It's actually pretty easy, but the screws used to connect the legs to the seat strip easily, so it's probably a good idea to avoid the temptation to use a power drill if you're impatient like me and trigger happy. You can't run to [...] to get another screw like these, and the manufacturer doesn't include extras. If anything the lack of extra screws is the biggest negative with these chairs. You'll definitely want to look at finding a screwdriver with an allen-wrench bit instead of using the included allen wrenches, or you'll end up with massive blisters on your fingers the next day -- especially if you ordered eight chairs like I did.I found the absolute best way to assemble these chairs is to go out and get a can of DuPont Teflon Multi-Use Dry Wax spray lubricant (Dupont part# D00110101 - $4.99 at the home improvement stores). It's a dry non-staining spray with a straw. When you stick the tabs from the seat into the leg frames, stick the straw into the hole and spray a liberal amount of the teflon spray in there -- it will bubble out fast so be careful. At the same time, lay out all four screws (and the four bolts for the back of the chair) on a plastic bag and spray them down from just below the head all the way to the tip, roll them over and spray again. Don't worry - the spray isn't greasy or oily once it dries in a few minutes, so it doesn't get messy and there's not really any smell. It also doesn't stain or discolor the wood -- but you should wipe up any that gets on the exterior just in case. Let the spray dry for a few minutes, then it's super easy to get those bolts and screws in. It took 8 minutes to get the first screw without spray in by hand (and I ended up stripping the head) -- and about 50 seconds after the spray. It's worth it. Trust me. The added bonus is now the screws and bolts have an extra layer of water protection. I may have to go back and retighten the screws and bolts every so often, but I doubt that will be much of a problem.All in all, these are awesome chairs. They're VERY solid, and much better than anything I've seen at the big box home improvement stores. They're quite comfortable, even without the cushions. You could sit in one of these for hours. My neighbor is so jealous that he's outside right now sanding down his cheap Scandinavian wood furniture (that he paid almost the same price for) and restaining it!

The chairs are very nice. Our chairs arrived in decent condition, although there were some minor nicks here and there. The only negative for me was in the packaging of these chairs. They are completely wrapped in styrofoam. The awful type of styrofoam that has the little balls of styrofoam all stuck together and breaks apart easily. Styrofoam is so bad for the environment and is uanble to be recycled.

Furniture was very high quality and easy to assemble. With internet shopping, it's very difficult. The pictures always look so nice, but then your usually disappointed when it arrives..Not so with this set. It looks as good or better, in person. I highly recommend this set. Very easy to assemble also. It's error proof.. [...]I'm pretty picky and used to buying high end stuff.. Don't hesitate.. You will not be disappointed!! Thanks Hayneedle!
